What's the kissing scene like between Harry and Ginny Weasley?
I think Bonnie (Wright, who plays Ginny) was maybe a bit nervous, and I probably was, too. It is very much the case that it's nowhere near as exciting to film those scenes as people would imagine them to be. I hate to disillusion everyone.

Did you give Rupert any advice on his kissing scenes?
I wasn't there because they filmed the actual kiss after I had gone home one day. I couldn't watch it and laugh at him, which was deeply annoying. I love watching the scenes where Lavender swoons over Ron. I think there's a little bit of Rupert looking embarrassed, which makes me really laugh.

Is it fun filming a movie that has a little more romance in it?
I prefer the dark stuff to be honest! The romance is fun and it's something people will really enjoy, but I personally like doing stuff in a cave where I'm close to death. It's a lot easier than romance.

What was a funny moment onset?
Rupert, Emma and I displayed a total lack of professionalism because we could not stop laughing during one scene, and we didn't know why. I think it was partially because I had just seen a piece of film footage of a monkey in a little uniform riding a bicycle and I was thinking about that. I shared that with Rupert, which was a terrible thing to do because he started laughing. And then I think Emma just though, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

We heard you checked out the top five actresses who auditioned to play Lavender Brown. What was that like?
(Laughs) Yeah, I went to some of the final stages of the auditions. It was really cool to be involved in that side of it, not that I really had any say. There were some good girls, but we didn't do the kiss. We didn't even talk about the kiss until the day we actually did it. But Jessie (Cave), who got the part of Lavender, is really cool.

Potions are a big part of the story. How were you at chemistry in real life?
I quite enjoyed it- the stuff with the Bunsen burners.- but I never went to school much because I did most of my learning onset. We didn't do many experiments, so I missed out on that.

Rumor is there's a lot of Ping-Pong played on set and Emma is the one to beat!
I don't like playing her because it's really embarrassing. She's so much better than me and Dan, but we're getting good. We're quite quick!

Emma's scoop!

You'll have your first Harry Potter kiss in the seventh movie. How do you feel about that?
I think it's going to be quite awkward, but I was speaking to Dan and Bonnie, and apparently, after a couple of takes it gets boring!

Do you ever work with the costume department on choosing Hermione's clothes?
Yeah. As I've gotten older, I've been more involved. In the beginning, I found it really hard to understand that I was wearing clothes people expected Hermione to wear. I was 10 at the time and I'd get really upset about the clothes because I never would have worn anything like that in my life! I've been playing her for so long now that I can have more fun with it.

What's your secret to being the onset Ping-Pong champ?
My parents played and they're really competitive. They never user to let me win, but I got quite good at it. Dan and Rupert were quite taken aback that I could beat them. I think Rupert took it the worst.

Com'è stata la scena del bacio tra Harry e Ginny Weasley?
Credo che Bonnie (Wright, che interpreta Ginny) fosse magari un po' nervosa, ed anche io probabilmente lo ero. Comunque, filmare questo genere di scene non è neppure lontanamente eccitante rispetto a quanto la gente immagini. Mi dispiace deludere tutti.

Hai dato a Rupert qualche consiglio per le sue scene romantiche?
Io non c'ero perché hanno girato la scena del bacio un giorno dopo che io ero andato a casa. Non potevo guardarla e ridere di lui, il che sarebbe molto antipatico. Adoro guardare le scene in cui Lavanda fa la svenevole con Ron. Credo che Rupert fosse un po' imbarazzato, il che mi fa ridere molto.

E' divertente girare un film con un po' più di romanticismo?
Ad essere sincero, io preferisco roba più intensa. Il romanticismo è divertente ed è qualcosa che la gente apprezzerà molto, ma personalmente preferisco girare le scene nella caverna in cui rischio di morire. E' molto più facile del romanticismo.

Qual è stato un momento divertente sul set?
Rupert, Emma ed io abbiamo dimostrato una certa dose di scarsa professionalità perché non riuscivamo a smettere di ridere durante una scena, e non sapevamo il perché. Credo che in parte dipendesse dal fatto che io avevo appena visto la parte di un film in cui una scimmia che indossava una piccola uniforme andava in bicicletta e stessi pensando a quello. L'ho detto a Rupert, e questo è stato uno sbaglio terribile perché lui ha iniziato a ridere. E credo che Emma abbia pensato "Se non puoi combatterli, unisciti a loro."

Rupert Parla!

Abbiamo sentito che tu hai visionato le cinque attrici che erano state scelte per interpretare potenzialmente Lavanda Brown. Com'è stato?
(Ride) Sì, ho partecipato ad alcuni stadi finali delle selezioni. E' stato molto interessante essere conivolto in questa parte della cosa, non che avessi voce in capitolo. C'erano alcune ragazze brave, ma non abbiamo provato il bacio. Non abbiamo nemmeno parlato del bacio fino al giorno in cui lo abbiamo effettivamente girato. Ma Jessie (Cave), che ha ottenuto la parte di Lavanda, è davvero in gamba.

Le pozioni hanno una parte rilevante nella storia. Come andavi in chimica, nella realtà?
Mi piacevano abbastanza -le parti con i fornelletti Bunsen.- ma non sono mai andato a scuola molto perché ho studiato per la maggior parte sul set. Non abbiamo fatto molti esperimenti, quindi mi sono perso quella parte.

Si dice che si giochi molto a ping-pong sul set e che Emma sia la persona da battere!
Non mi piace molto giocare con lei perché è molto imbarazzante. E' molto migliore di me e Dan, ma stiamo facendo progressi. Siamo abbastanza veloci!

Lo scoop di Emma!

Girerai il tuo primo bacio in Harry Potter nel settimo film. Come ti senti in proposito?
Sarà piuttosto strano, ma ne ho parlato con Dan e Bonnie e, a quanto pare, dopo un paio di riprese diventa noioso!

Lavori con i costumisti per scegliere i vestiti di Hermione?
Sì. A mano a mano che sono cresciuta, sono stata sempre più coinvolta. All'inizio, trovavo veramente difficile capire che stavo indossando i vestiti che la gente si aspettava che Hermione indossasse. Avevo 10 anni allora ed ero molto contrariata per quanto riguardava i vestiti perché io non avrei mai indossato niente del genere in vita mia! Ora interpreto il suo ruolo da così tanto tempo e posso divertirmi un po' di più a questo riguardo.

Qual è il tuo segreto per essere una campionessa di ping-pong?
Ci giocavano i miei genitori e sono molto competitivi. Non mi lasciavano mai vincere, ma sono diventata abbastanza brava. Dan e Rupert erano piuttosto sorpresi dal fatto che li battessi. Penso che Rupert sia stato quelloa prenderla peggio.
